You are thrifty and proud of it!

Maybe you're saving up to pay off those school loans, buy a home, or send the kids to summer camp, so disposable income is tight--- but you don't let that stop you from enjoying life to the fullest! You're a pro at finding fabulous free activities around town, believe that Trader Joe's picnics with friends are every bit as awesome as dining at pricey restaurants, and homemade cold brew is better than an expensive Starbucks habit. You are a master of DIY- after all, why spend lots of cash on something if you can make it yourself? Your friends appreciate how resourceful you are.

You know that great wine bargains are out there- but you don't want to sacrifice quality for value.

We have 10 specially customized, sommelier-curated wine recommendations ALL UNDER $17 selected just for you budget babes (ps- click the links to shop!):

Sparkling Wine: Zonin Prosecco Brut, $13.99

Zonin Prosecco DOC has an intense fruity bouquet with a hint of golden apples. Very dry, fresh, light in body and well-balanced, this wine is perfect alone as an aperitif or as a delightful complement to appetizers such as prosciutto or mild cheeses. Excellent as a base for Bellinis and other sparkling wine cocktails!

Light-Bodied White Wine: Marques de Caceres Verdejo 2019, $9.99

This light and pretty white has an intense bouquet with mineral notes, herbs, and citrus. Deliciously balanced, it’s bursting with pineapple and lime fruit flavors in the mouth, then pink grapefruit and blood orange notes emerge to give a tinge of bitterness and a deliciously fresh aftertaste.

Crowd-Pleaser White Wine: Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio 2019, $14.99

One of the best value whites coming out of Italy, this enjoyable wine has aromas of spring blossom and white stone fruit. Crisp and savory, the fresh palate offers yellow pear and juicy citrus before a hint of white almond signals the close.

Aromatic White Wine: 14 Hands Riesling 2017, $10.99

This crisp Riesling shows bright flavors of apple, pear and apricot with an ideal balance of minerality and acidity; it drinks medium sweet with stone-fruit and citrus flavors. This wine pairs nicely with spicy dishes.

Rosé Wine: Bieler Pere et Fils Rose Sabine 2019, $14.99

Fresh red fruits, a hint of peach and a building floral quality on the nose. Silky and seamless in texture, offering juicy strawberry, nectarine and orange flavors that are sharpened by a spicy flourish. Finishes long and supple, with repeating spiciness and a touch of anise.

Orange Wine: Attems Ramato Pinot Grigio 2017, $16.99

A special vinification practice led to the use of this term "ramato," or coppery: the must remains in contact with the skins for 24 hours and this practice gives the wine a very distinctive copper hue. Medium-bodied, vibrant and juicy on the palate, with a supple texture and a classically dry finish, drink it over the coming year.

Light-Bodied Red Wine: Vina Leyda Pinot Noir 2019, $15.99

Leyda Pinot Noir’s aromatic profile is a pure and honest reflection of the variety, displaying acidic red fruit aromas such as raspberry and cherry, along with herbal notes typical of the Leyda Valley. In mouth it is very fresh and juicy with a vibrant acidity and sweet, round tannins.

Medium-Bodied Red Wine: Bodegas Renacer Punto Final Malbec Classico 2018, $13.99

Dark ruby red in color with violet tones, this Malbec has aromas of red currants, blackberries, and plums, with notes of pepper and clove. Flavors of black cherries, red and black currants, and juicy plums fill the mouth with hints of wood spice and vanilla on the finish.

Full-Bodied Red Wine: Domaines Barons de Rothschild Legende Bordeaux Rouge 2016, $14.99

Deep crimson color, the 2016 Legende Bordeaux Rouge-- a blend of Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot--- is intense, very expressive and is dominated by fresh fruit aromas (red currant, raspberry) blended with discreet notes of oak. Structured, round and easy, nicely oaked on the palate, with firm but silky tannins and a long, fresh and fruity finish.

Dessert Wine: Graham's Six Grapes Reserve Port (375ML half-bottle), $13.99

Six Grapes has a seductive, rich aroma of ripe plums, cherries and dark chocolate notes. On the palate it's complex, with an excellent structure and a long, lingering finish. Six Grapes is one of Graham's original Port blends--it is a very full-bodied, luscious wine drawn from the same vineyards as Graham's Vintage Ports. Blended from two or three years' harvests, the wine is an average of five to six years old when it is lightly filtered and bottled.
